Stay in Love

To stay in love, though love brings pain,
Is to know you'll find your dreams again.
When love burns low and hope grows dim,
Look for the light that is shining in him.

Through the tears that blind and the fear that grips,
Believe in the music you hear from his lips.
Do not despair and your fate despise
Without looking and longing into his eyes.

For he, like you, is a wanderer lost
In the maze of life; taunted and tossed
By the winds of Fortune, by Destiny's whim,
By Lady Luck's smile turned suddenly grim.

Hold fast to your love; don't ever lose sight
Of the source of your pleasure; whatever your plight
Don't ever forget that love is the flame
That kindles your life, that gives God a name. 

For the fire of love of Eternity's light,
Dispelling the shadows of that endless night
Which freezes our blood and robs us of breath:
The last of all Mysteries which we know as Death.
